This place was absolutely lovely. My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay after cycling the Virginia Creeper Trail and it made me feel like I was staying at one of my relatives Vintage home that they had spruced up. The atmosphere was so comfortable and warm. Kathleen took such great care of us and went through the history of the house and made breakfast for us the next morning. Organic fruit bowl with peaches, apples, and Asian pear with home made coconut and white balsamic whipped cream. Then we were served fluffy eggs with bacon and then crispy waffles topped with blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream. It was all served by the lady that runs the place and it was all so delicious. My boyfriend and I are thoroughly impressed and we will be back to stay here the next time we are in town.

Kathleen was so nice and accommodating. We brought our teenage boys up to ride the creeper trail, and we all enjoyed ourselves so much on our ride and on our stay at the inn. The room was great, and our breakfast fantastic and more than enough to get us started for both days we stayed in town. She always asked what we wanted after the first course, which was totally unexpected. And there was plenty of coffee to have before, during and after breakfast. What a great hostess she is. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone staying in town or just passing through. Very memorable.

Babette, Genevieve and I (Susie) really enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Laurel Inn. From the moment you walk in the doors you are enveloped in a serenity and abundance of graciousness. We were visited with Kathleen and settled in. After a wonderful night's sleep we were treated to a scrumptious breakfast and now understand what all the Eggs Benedict hype is about. Growing up in New Orleans I have had Eggs Benedict many ways before but never as delicious! We were lucky to enjoy two nights (and two breakfasts). We hated to leave but plan on returning!! Thank you Kathleen, Nathalie(and Drew:D

This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed in. Gorgeous old home full of interesting things and wonderful memories. Host was exceptional letting us in late after we had been lost and giving us some delicious food she had left over. Breakfast was amazing eggs bacon homemade waffles! All delicious. The host also gave us a tour of the house and shared family stories! Can’t recommend highly enough!

We had a great experience at the Mountain Laurel Inn the food was both healthy and delicious. The hostess Kathleen is a wonderful cook and grows her own herbs. The homemade waffles were the best I have EVER eaten ! Kathleen was very friendly and accommodating. The Inn has a great history with many beautiful wood features and wonderful antiques. We highly recommend that you visit the Inn and experience the charm. Leo and Sylvia

Wife and I had a wonderful stay with Drew and Kathleen for a week in summer of 2018. We were great friends by the end of our trip. Breakfasts were delicious and filling, and they are more than happy to accommodate any request. Drew and Kathleen went out of their way to make us feel at home. Older home with many unique charms (but thankfully upgraded with A/C). We made full use of the porch and pool. Wouldn't change a thing about the experience. Damascus is a great place for hiking, biking, experiencing Appalachia (Drew/Kathleen have a wealth of recommendations). Highly recommend!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Laurel Inn. Kathleen was incredibly kind, respectful, and accommodating. The spaces were outfitted with everything we needed and were super comfortable - and the food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Southwest Virginia.

We stayed here for trail days, absolutely amazing experience. Kathleen and Drew are so great, the moment we met them, we felt right at home. They are so kind, gracious and take the best care of everyone. They accommodated our vegetarian diet, Kathleen made us Mapo Tofu for breakfast that was out of this world, took me back to NYC China town and Drew’s French toast we couldn’t stop talking about, we had to finally ask him what was in the sauce. The house is beautiful, the rooms are great, the best is the big front porch, we met the greatest people and ended up spending last night hanging on the porch. Good people, awesome spot can’t wait to go back next year.
